The Citrus Technical Center was established in 2008.

Technical centers in the agricultural sector are public economic utility legal entities, endowed with legal personality and financial autonomy.

Individuals and legal entities with the status of producers, processors, packers, or exporters of agricultural products, fishery products, or products from the agri-food industries, as well as professional groups, institutions, and public establishments working in the field of agricultural development, research, and advisory services, may join the centers and benefit from their services.
